Das schon 2012 begonnen Projekt wird 2013 weitergeführt. Hierbei wurd uns von der Deutschen Bahn die Gesamtfläche der Bahndammmauer bei dem Gerhard Wilczek Platz beginnend bis zum Bahnhof Ehrenfeld bei der Polizeistation endent zur Verfügung gestellt. Ziel ist es diese Mauer mit einer verschönernden Bemalung aufzuwerten und den Bewohnern somit kostenlose Kunst im öffentlichen raum anzubieten.
Dafür wurden von uns Kölner sowie auch 2 Spanische Künstler (El Pez / Zosen) eingeladen welche Ende Mai schon das erste Teilstück direkt am Gerhard Wilczek Platz1 komplett gestalteten. Im weitern Verlauf des Projektes wird auch noch die restliche Fläche der Wand komplett bemalt werden.
Somit entsteht hier die größte zusammenhängende werbefreie Strassenkunstgallerie in Köln und bietet dem interessierten Betrachter einiges an gemischten Kunststilen und kultureller Vielfalt.
The project started in 2012 will be continued in 2013. The Deutsche Bahn provided us with the total area of the railway embankment wall beginning at Gerhard Wilczek Platz and ending at the Ehrenfeld train station at the police station. The aim is to upgrade this wall with an embellishing painting and thus to offer the residents free art in public spaces.
For this we invited Cologne artists as well as 2 Spanish artists (El Pez / Zosen) who at the end of May already completely designed the first section directly at Gerhard Wilczek Platz1. In the further course of the project, the remaining surface of the wall will also be completely painted.
Thus, the largest contiguous, advertising-free street art gallery in Cologne is being created here and offers the interested viewer a lot of mixed art styles and cultural diversity.
